Sunday afternoon we headed to my sister & brother-in-law's house for our annual pre-Christmas parade party! LOTS of fun, friends, & good food! This year we also had a cake & sang happy birthday to my hubby who celebrated his 55th (double nickles!) birthday on Friday! He was very pleasantly surprised! Then at 5:00 we headed out to get in line for the 36th annual Pinellas Park Christmas Parade that we have been a part of for the past 10 years with our VW Club!! We all decorate our different VWs & spend a small fortune on beads to throw to the parade-goers! The parade itself is about 24 blocks long & the "stage" area is about 8 blocks long using all the side streets as well! It's really a good size parade & lasts several hours! We LOVE being part of this parade & it's one of our very favorite VW events!!!
We've lived in our home over 20 years & last night was the very first time we've had Christmas Carolers come to our house!! It was AWESOME!!! Now granted, several of the carolers had a few too many beers in them but that only added to the festivity!! Like I said, it was awesome & I really wish I had been smart enough to run back into the house & grab the camera!!! AARRGGHH!!! Definitely not the brightest bulb on the tree.
